House cats

Before there were Thai, there were European shorthairs. At least, in our household.

Our very first cats were two Siamese cross breeds, which we picked up at a farm. We did not have a clue what sex they were, so we gave them names that suited their appearance.

Our very first cats were two Siamese cross breeds, which we picked up at a farm. We did not have a clue what sex they were, so we gave them names that suited their appearance. Since one looked very dainty and ladylike, we called it Minet. The other was a saucy little striped chap which we named Tiger. Later on, both cats turned out to be male, Minet being the biggest one. By that time the names had already "stuck" so we decided to leave Minet as it was. Sort of a "boy called Sue". Tiger and Minet showed us how much fun cats can be and that 2 cats are not nearly enough. So a couple of months after Tiger and Minet had made their introduction, we fell for Simba. Then followed Dingo, Clovis and Farah.
